Except “Iron Eyes Cody” wasn’t American Indian, he was of Italian heritage, born in Louisiana. His real name is Espera Oscar de Corti.

Interesting fact about the Native American in that commercial. He is a Native American, nicknamed "Iron Eyes Cody", he was born in Kaplan, Louisiana. His real name is Espera Oscar de Corti and his parents were born in Italy. During his "growing up" years, the family shortened the last name from de Corti, to Corti and eventually Cody.

Every culture in history had blood on its hands, but somehow only Europeans are expected to grovel forever. The tribes weren’t exactly peaceful woodland hippies.

Fantastic discussion. Thanks to all who have contributed.
I too have always been skeptical of the “Native Americans” nomenclature. Depending on which theory you espouse to the earliest settlers came over the Alaskan land bridge or possibly from South America via South Pacific Islanders… Who knows. We all came from Africa one way or another.

Western Culture in general, and the USA in particular, is expected to grovel its way into oblivion; otherwise global marxist utopia can never be a reality.

The "why" Europe and the USA must grovel is an easy question to answer. Same as why Willie Sutton said he robbed banks.

No matter how "moral" an issue, it always comes down to money. If the spectacular financial success enabled by Western culture suddenly went broke, so would the call for "reparations" and "equality" come to a sudden end.
