sig229-SASAnyone one like pepper grinders? How about craft beer?
Along with the salad and a home brewed craft beer how about a 24" salt and pepper grinder set?
We are headed to an art show in Syracuse, NY this weekend and I needed a real attention grabber, I think this will do it !! ( Slightly out of focus, I was handholding the camera )
I have made these in the past and each has sold the first time they were displayed. Oddly I had a commission several years to make 5 36" pepper grinders for a restaurant, not something I care to make again but they paid dearly for them.
The blue set is 'only' 18" tall....
Enjoy

Mustang-PaPaWow those really stand out. The blue ones have the better look or catch my eye just right.
I remember you displaying others here in the past.
Very nice work.
Would have liked to of seen the 36" one's in person.

ElToroThat’s awesome.
Maybe not 36 but I went to a steakhouse once and the waitress had a huge grinder. Like 24 af least.

ARmanI really like the blue ones. But they are both cool.
They look sturdy, like they could be used as a truncheon!

rsboloMy dad does quite a bit of woodturning. His father was a turner as well. I've seen good work in my life.
Those are quite nice. Your finish is fantastic.

trapper189I think you have the beer glass volume to grinder height ratio reversed. Other than that, quite a nice set of skills you have.

iron chefI never thought I'd be discussing pepper grinders on SF, but OK...
I picked up an old, little pepper grinder at a yard sale for $1. Turns out it's cast aluminum and made in France by a company named Perfex. Runs $50-60 new or used.

Rey HRHThose look nice but 18" seems too tall for home use unless you have a server doing it at home for you.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
