Smokey here in the Capital Region today. As soon as I went outside I could smell the smoke this morning. My wife described the sky as almost having a post apocalyptic look to it today. “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The NWS has a Haze & Smoke Warning for this area for today & tonight. I thought it was awfully hazy yesterday morning when we went for our walk, then I remembered reports of the smoke from the Canadian fires drifting south. I read that the Canadians have something like 440 active wildfires right now in that area when in a normal year they have less than 30. They are starting to call in and ask for international help. | |||

I received an email from our township today asking residents to stay indoors with the windows closed. If we are outdoors an N95 mask is recommended. All outdoor sports are cancelled. Living the Dream | |||
