flashguyI am familiar with PC meaning Personal Computer and even Political Correctness, but I've never heard of the other meanings. I don't play any video games, so I guess that's the reason. I had not seen the NPC Meme, either.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you're not a gamer. I've never heard the avatar the person playing as described as anything other than a character or "my guy." It felt weird to describe it as an avatar, because that's funtionally a whole other thing.
