Y'know, if a man were to say to me "I hope one day before I die to have a chance to shoot at people like this," I would just nod. I couldn't hold it against him, no sir.

All the town’s officers should retire or quit and let the townsfolk deal with any criminals on a more personal level. Probably be a lot of “deer in the headlights” looks.

What caliber is that Man using? I’ll drop off a case of whatever caliber to his doorstep.

quitting and retiring is too good for these vermin

rather than the 'pride flag' flying at ha;f-mast, they should all be flying from half mast

there is only one way to put a stop to this shit, and thats to dispose of the shit

if the basement of your house is filling full of shit, the last thing you do is raise the ceiling

What's wrong with simply using an American flag? Government shouldn't be flying any flag that isn't directly government related: American flag, state flag, city flag, military flag, etc.

Leave it to you to ignore the point and come up with something like this.

Oh, I get the point entirely. One group wanted their special flag, and another group that doesn't like them disrespected them by flying their special flag.

My point is that if we would limit the government's use of flags to official flags, we wouldn't have to worry about the battle(s) of special flags.

Why isn't a US flag ordered to half mast not suitable in this case? Especially considering that the official flag of the state of Connecticut, or the offical flag of the Conneticut State Police could be flown beneath it?

What's the point of a non-official flag being flown by any government entity? Should our government be allowed to promote any special interest, just the interest they believe in, or just the interest we believe in? I'd say keeping special interests out of it is the best way to avoid all of these problems to begin with. We can then extend that logic to other government involved areas such as sidewalks, badges, police cars and fire trucks, etc. We don't need lines, rainbows, or other special interest symbols that have nothing to do with anything funded by taxpayers.

No, that's not the point and you know it and I am not going to explain the obvious to you. You just need to know that I am not surprised that if anyone in this forum would pull something like this out of their ass, it would be you.

As usual, the article is a bit difficult to parse, but it appears these flags were in addition to the U.S. and state flags, and that they complied with putting those at half mast.

They declined to put up the Thin Blue Line flag because it was antagonistic re BLM and left up the Pride Flag, which is the problem, not the USA/State Flags..

Democrat Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont directed that state flags be flown at half-mast to honor Pelletier. Wethersfield’s Town Council then weighed whether to also fly the Thin Blue Line flag. During the discussion, Democratic Councilmember Emily Zambrello said, “That flag was either created or at least became prevalent in direct response to the Black Lives Matter protests. It’s viewed as antagonistic even if you don’t see it that way and I don’t think that’s a good flag to fly, especially not without further discussion.”

Republican Councilmember Brianna Timbro hit back and reminded Zambrello that the Thin Blue Line flag existed long before BLM protests.

First thought in my mind as well. Officers protect the citizens and you honor the fallen like this? I’ll never visit that fucking state.

If somebody is antagonized by honoring a fallen officer the absolute last thing I would do is respect his butt hurt.

By the way, I haven't had anybody drop by my house and ask me if a blm sign will antagonize me. Weird, huh!
