Enjoy it! (That looks like some terrific bacon!)

My mom has been gone nearly 17 years now, and my only sister 19 years. I never married, so I have no one to celebrate Mothers' Day with. There'll be a big to do in church tomorrow and I'll be singing some appropriate music with the Choir. I'm also playing handbells at a senior home that afternoon.

Mother's Day Agenda

Early morning present opening for the wife. Gifts from me and our dogs. Cards from grandson and daughter.

Then my son is taking his mom kayaking today with his kayaking club. It is planned as a special Mother's day outing. Cool

When they return we will all go out to dinner.
==============================================

Happy Mothers Day to all you mothers out there!

We're pretty laid back here, or maybe even flat-out boring.

Cracker Barrel for breakfast, and now a mid-morning nap. The wife approves, and since she's the star of the show.......its all good. Big Grin

Wife had to work this morning, and our exchange student's birthday was yesterday, and she had prom last night, so we're doing a combination dinner tonight.

Plan is green sauce chicken tacos.

Breakfast this am - Spinach, Onion and Feta Omelet with side of homemade bacon. Church in a bit, the kids are singing. Then, my wife and several of her friends from church are going to a winery for brunch, designated driver being one of the other mom's college age son. After that, relaxing on the couch, maybe a board game or puzzle with our daughter. Dinner will be sear duck breast, grilled sweet potato wedges with gremolade, bacon wrapped asparagus with balsamic. Godiva chocolate creme brulee for dessert.

Looks delicious! How'd you get the bacon to stay in the tray like that without falling off? Wink
