So maybe you have seen adds for this. I'm sure we have an expert or two on here that can tell us if this is a good product. None of my glass is quite this bad, but does it work on small rock hits etc? I'll include the link if that's ok, so folks can see which product I'm questioning.

Thanks for your input gang.. Merry Christmas too

Years ago I repaired a small chip from a rock on my windshield with something I got at a local auto parts store. Wasn't perfect but unless you knew it was there you likely would never see it.

This was a small chip with very little spidering that extended less the 1/2".

The one I used came in a syringe with a flat round end that stuck to the window when you used it.

I've used several kits over the years to repair small rock chips, usually in a star pattern. They were always kits with suction cups, holding an injector over the center of damage. All of the kits always made an almost-perfect repair. None of the repairs ever got any worse.

I've never tried just dabbing the chemical on, and letting it fill into the crack (as they seem to be doing in the add). The last kit I used though (last year?) had a UV-curing component to it. so that you could lay a special stiff plastic sheet over the surface of the repair to flatten it, and then move the car into the sunlight to cure.

Most insurance companies will cover the repair 100% if you have comprehensive coverage.

The reason I was asking about this product was to gift it to a friend. His windshield needs replaced or at least some help from this product. I was just hoping someone here had some experience with this and how well it did or didn’t work.

I used this kit from Amazon, seemed to work pretty well for me. The reviews average very good.
