I find this unexpectedly, oddly pleasurable and escapist to watch. It is a Japanese white eyed bird according to the description.

My cockatiels (AKA: poop and squawk birds) used to love having their necks scratched.

Cool video. and as you said, surprisingly relaxing for me and the birdie!

Thanks,

LOL - I was waiting for the bird to become so relaxed it would fall off its perch.

Cute, but the bunny and pancake is so mysterious.
Nothing beats that!

How did it get there.
What is it doing there.

theory 1: the bunny was trying to carry concealed using 'pancake holster' but didn't follow instructions, ending up with only 'pancakes'......

I used to have parrots. My friend has a cockatoo and when I walk by she says hello, I say scratch? and it's on like donkey kong. I better deliver!

Birds love attention and especially a good scratch.

Weird.

I wonder how someone came up with the idea, "You know what? I bet it will relax that bird if we stroke it with Q tips."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

What are you stroking your bird with? This is a complete no brainer to me, never heard of a better product, but I am willing to try what you are using.

Got any links?

Birds LOVE their head scratched or rubbed. I have three parrots and they love getting scratched on their head where they can't groom themselves.

At the end of that video, this is one that was recommended. It, too, was very calming to watch.
