BY MAARIV ONLINE MAY 14, 2018 22:56

Turkey will recall its ambassadors from the United States and Israel, a spokesman for the Turkish government announced Monday.

The Turkish government also declared three days of mourning in Turkey, in memory of those killed in the Gaza Strip.

There was a time when Turkey was relevant and we required their airspace. Not so much anymore. Enjoy your days of mourning.

I tried googling. Why doesn’t the US need Turkey any more.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Personally, I think Turkey should be kicked out of NATO, and if the EU had any sense they'd tell Turkey there's not a chance in hell it'll ever get into the EU.

I don't know why Erdogan thinks that these big, dramatic gestures mean a damned thing to anyone else. Go hang out with Putin, old son, come back when you're sick enough of him to conduct yourself like an adult in decent company.

An example of why the U.S., NATO and the EU should distance themselves from Turkey: Turkish Opposition: Erdogan’s ‘Hostage Policy’ Won’t Work with U.S.

Furthermore, there were circumstances to suggest the "coup" was staged, to give Erdogan an excuse to seize more power, which he promptly did.

I guess the next arms shipment we send to them should run into some delays, followed by a massie price increase.
