I didn’t like him in the 90’s and I still don’t like him now. I’d be happy if he lived there rest of his days in solitude. He contributes nothing to society.

His whole career has been a schtick based upon saying the most outrageous thing he can think of. Big time New York strong patriot after 9/11 when everyone was a patriot; big time woke lefty now that that's what's in vogue. Less than zero integrity, he just says whatever gets him views or clicks or whatever. I'm with Big Swede...fuck that guy.

I've never liked him. Hopefully he will stay in his basement for the next few decades.

I listened to him for a bit,

as in not that long,

I would listen on the drive in to work, which was typically 30 minutes, and it seemed to take him all day to get to the joke,

haven't bothered to listen in 20 yrs,

I met him back in the '80s, when he was daring and funny. Today he has revealed himself for what he always was, since becoming an a-lister. Robin frequents my next-door neighbor regularly as they are friends. I told her, Stern is just a phony who misled his fans for a long time.
Wouldn't listen to him for a second, now.

People think Alex Jones is crazy, he's got nothing on Howard Stern.
Twenty-five years ago he was funny somewhat but now he is just stupid.

I quit listening to him after I heard him call Air Florida and ask how much a 1 way ticket to the 14th street bridge would cost while he was on DC101. the day after the incident

Whatever I think of Stern as a media personality or person, his ranting is an excellent reminder. Money, fame, and sometimes even the love of a good partner cannot cure what ails us. Money didn't buy Stern happiness. It bought him a gilded cage.

Sartre wrote the play "No Exit", with the punch line "Hell is other people."
Close, but no cigar. Turned out Hell was John-Paul Sartre.

I know at first Covid was a killer for a goodly number of people but now it has morphed more into just a bad cold.

So, him saying he doesn't want to get it tells me he's just about afraid of everything... I've had it and expect to get it again and I've been vaccinated and even boosted.... but then I'm not afraid of dining... it's the one thing in the future I'm sure of.
