Coastie roll call

wolffy88Coastie roll call
A few are wondering how many are on the forum.
So, I'll start.
I was in from 05-09, on the Cutter Aspen, the Airstation in San Fran, and then Cutter Boutwell, all in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I was an SNBM when I got out, but not for trouble, I tried waiting for AMT A school but it came a little over three years into my enlistment and my wife at the time didn't want to extend, so I had to turn down A school. Overall, still the best time of my life.

RFSALESMy father in law was in Coast Guard 1942 to 1946.
Was sent to a camp on Lon Island called Manhattan Beach for basic. Jack Dempsey was given a rank by the Navy and put in change of physical training and sent a lot of time at the camp.
My father in law and Jack Dempsey became good friends and after WW2 wrestled professionally to pay his way through grad school.
