Corporate ethics watchdog National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) filed an exempt solicitation with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Wednesday that urged fellow Apple shareholders to vote against Gore as a director nominee at the tech giant's annual meeting, which is slated for March 10, arguing that the former U.S. vice president is not qualified for the role and that "his political activism poses to Apple a reputational risk that is not worth his limited skill set."
I don't know this guy or his politics, but right now, I'm a fan. Big Grin

I’d be glad to see him outta there.

He’d’ve been elected president in 2000 if Ralph Nader hadn’t taken so many of his votes in FL.

How is ManBearPig going to be able to fly private jets to demand others to stop using fossil fuels??? I guess he will be stuck in his mansion that uses more energy in a month than mine will in a single Presidential term.

Speaking of shares… Al “climate” Whore is an extreme hypocrite.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ne...issions-growing.html

Al Gore's inconvenient truth: Ex-Veep's $30billion 'eco-friendly' investment fund includes holdings in gas-guzzling companies like Amazon and Microsoft

The eco-driven investment fund founded by former Vice President Al Gore owns $12.1billion in shares of companies whose carbon emissions increased in recent years.

Gore, an eco-warrior who served as Clinton's Vice President between 1993 and 2001, founded Generation Investment Management in 2000 with a promise of sustainable investing.

According to analysis by Bloomberg, 46 percent of the companies in the firm's largest fund - which comprises $26.4billion in investment - have increased greenhouse gas emissions between 2015 and 2021.

Generation's investments fell from $39billion to $30billion last year.

The funds in its Global Equity Portfolio which have rising or increased gas emissions account for just over a third of its total holdings.

The worst culprit is Amazon, whose carbon footprint grew by 18 percent between 2020 and 2021, and a huge 40 percent between 2019 and 2020.

I like this quote from the link:

"The only credentials he had, or has ever had, that meet any of Apple’s questionable criteria was that he’s been a Chicken Little for global warming. That term was so discredited that it’s now called 'climate change.' And so many of his other prophecies of doom have been proven untrue that he should be considered a false prophet."

I remember reading that after Gore's failed 2000 presidential run, his net worth was approx. $2 million. Then he hatched the global warming scam and carbon credit grift that elevated him to another tax bracket.

Eh, it's one shareholder (so far?), no? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's gonna take a damn sight more than that for me to actually like Apple again. Only reason I'm still with Apple is our investment in the Apple ecosystem and I dislike Alphabet (Google, etc.) more.

The only real skill set he ever brought to the table was the insider influence he may have once had on government decisions and the ability to act on that information before others knew it.
Not that hard to appear to have great wisdom when you are given the answers to the test.

I always vote against that bastard when it's time for the shareholders' meeting. So far, no luck.
