A buddy of mine was telling me about a recent issue that he is having and we had a disagreement on a side affect of what’s going on. First off, he does have an appointment with an actual doctor, so it will be looked at soon enough. In the meantime, as guys do, I was poking a little fun at him, which most of you will soon understand. His issue is this: one of his testicles has disappeared. Ok, not fully. But it isn’t in position. He says most of the time it rides much higher than normal. He first noticed it after a strenuous workout. No pain, and it isn’t ‘stuck’ in the upper position, per se, and can be “put back” in place. Anyway, in the midst of poking some fun at the situation I did offer in seriousness that he should be careful to use protection for now with his wife. He looked confused and asked why. I proposed that the overall reason why they move is to regulate temperature for the health of the sperm, and if one is riding high all the time then perhaps the sperm are unhealthy and could result in a pregnancy with complications. His contention that any affected sperm would be “non-functional” and nothing to worry about. I see logic in his argument as well. Any experts have a real answer? As a matter of pride we have $5 riding on this.

I'm not a medical doctor nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn but I would concur with your assessment. If one testicle is oxygen deprived or simply isn't functioning 100% it could affect the quality of the sperm. I'd hold off until a medical doctor clears him for takeoff.

Testicular torsion is * incredibly* painful… but y’all can probably figure that out just from the name. I had a patient with this when I was a paramedic. He went into surgery. "Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway." Steve McQueen...

I’m not sure I’m in the right forum. First ORC needs bigger briefs for his junk and now this. Lol

You know, probably 13 years ago when I was mid 20’s and before any kids, I had sudden onset excruciating pain in one of the testicles. It was pretty debilitating. I could barely get into the car for my wife to drive me to the ER. They were worried about testicular torsion and an extremely attractive ultrasound tech imaged my sack. That was pretty damn uncomfortable, and not just from the pain. For what it’s worth, I didn’t have torsion and the problem cleared up on its own. I don’t remember that actual diagnosis.

I’m not a physician nor have played one in a movie. But what I thought of, for better or worse, (worse to be honest) is a hydrocele. Do the Google. __________________________

I’m not not a doctor, but I do have some personal experience with testicles. With this having onset following exercise, I’d suspect it to be related to a hernia, or maybe just a strain. My understanding is that nerves control the musculature that moves them up and down, and any injury or trauma can interfere with that process. Following my last hernia surgery one of mine was acting squirrelly, and a dose of antibiotics got it back to normal.

I’m think a hernia is one of things he has in his mind. I’m imagine the doc will get to the bottom of things (pun intended)

My stepson had this problem when he was very young(true), My bride had to massage his sack every night trying to get his nut to drop. I’ve been trying to get her to do the same to me ever since! P226 9mm CT Springfield custom 1911 hardball Glock 21 Les Baer Special Tactical AR-15
