Litigation against Hollywood
I wonder in the gun manufacturers would have a case. Hollywood glorifies gun usage, Pushes a myth that guns are more dangerous than they are - no reloading needed, all fully auto, and victims being blown off their feet, etc.. Since the public's main exposure to firearms is through media and manufacturers are being financially hurt through these perceptions. Could Hollywood be sued successfully ? They have the deep pockets to collect from.

So who is Hollywood?
Why would you sue - have an actual reason or just looking to fleece somebody?

Are manufacturers being harmed? Like, are there year over year sales figures showing a decline that can be proven to be attributed to the negative portrayal of firearms by a specific entity? Did that entity intend to negatively impact the sales of firearms leading to economic loss by the manufacturers? Are there other factors, something unrelated to an entertainment entity, that might have caused a decline in sales? Answer those questions first.

Wouldn’t an entity have to have standing?
Not liking artistic expression wouldn’t cut it, but I’m nobody.

Diminishing a brand name.
I’m on the edge of conspiracy theories here, but I’ll bet the average not gun knowledgeable American things a “Glock”, holds around 100 rounds and can be shot fully automatic, purchased at the local gun store, without any background checks.

How can one claim to have been misled by a place whose main business is to create fiction? If people are too dumb to realize that shit on the big screen is pretend, that is nobody's problem except that dumb individual.

Then again, McDonalds now prints on their coffee cups that coffee is hot.

No claim. I promise.

Nowadays, you can pretty much sue anybody for anything. That doesn’t mean it is going anywhere though. Suing Hollywierd would be a total non-starter. Suing a specific studio trying to prove they were out to harm you? Rotsa ruck!

After renting Ad Astra I would like to sue Hollywood for causing me to contract narcolepsy.
