wdsman1How to do karma?
I have a new Sig P239-9 spare parts kit I'd like to put up for karma. How do I go about this? Thanks

bobtheelfHowever you like. Most use
The Karmanator to pick a winner, but you're giving it away, so you can choose how.

V-TailYou pretty much make your own rules for a karma.
The
Karmanator can make a random selection for you. Or you can give your item to the third red-headed guy named Donald who was born on a Tuesday. Or you can write each person's name on a slip of paper, toss them on the floor, and see which one your cockatoo picks up.
It's totally up to you.
You can always just forego the ritual, and send the spare parts kit to me, if you want to.

egregoreIf you're giving something away, you can make up whatever rules you want. Once I said, "First 'I'll take it' gets it." After a winner has been chosen, it is good etiquette to edit the thread title to say something like "WINNER CHOSEN: EGREGORE."

This way people don't keep entering after winner selection. To facilitate communication, either you or the winner (preferably both) should have an accessible e-mail address in your profile(s).

1s1kWhen I did mine I put all the participants post numbers on pieces of paper and the numbers I drew coincided with their post number for the winners.
