It sounds like you're very patient to be able to do that repair. Did you have to solder that part or did it just snap in?

Stuff happens! I once spilled an entire margarita on MY WIFE'S laptop...she was not happy. I cleaned it up, but some of the keys were sticky. I eventually had to fess up.
