Suggestions for bedroom self/hidden gun “safe”
Hey all,

I am moving this weekend and looking to purchase a shelf/cabinet etc that has a hidden gun section.

Will need to have some sort of locking mechanism. But need not be Fort Knox. Looking to hold either a 14.5” AR or an APC9 with suppressor.

Any suggestions for something that looks nice and is of high quality?

Been looking at a tactical walls shelf or liberty concealment coat hanger so far.

Thanks
Amurr

do you have any hollow core doors? those would work. cut a hole in the top and put the firearm into the door from the top.

Measure the space above your bedroom closet door, on the inside of the closet. I once investigated a residential burglary where the burglar opened the closet and rifled through it, but did not look up and back above the door.
Home owner had a wall safe built into the space above the door and had a coin collection in it. The dude told me it was awkward to access the safe but worth it.

Depending on what closet or other doors you have, these can give you a lot of hidden space.

I never understand why folks ask on a public forum these kinds of questions, "What's the best way to hide my valuables?" Am I missing something here? Confused

Plastic baggie then into the toilet tank. Saw it in a movie once.

Taped to backside of your headboard. Saw that in a movie too Big Grin

Taped to the backside of a picture. (Guess where I saw that. Big Grin Big Grin)

Under your pillow (just don't answer your phone in the middle of the night). Didn't see that in a movie but heard a joke about it

Oh, then the classic; between the mattress and box springs.

Following the movie theme, there also is the Bat Cave for larger weapons systems.

When you get this figured out please post a photo containing photo Location Data: Address, Time, Date, and Altitude metadata so we can be in awe of your handiwork.

Not meant to be a jab at the Op, just something often forgotten when taking photos with your smart phone.

Tessio suggested hiding the gun Michael would use to kill Sollozzo and Capt. McCluskey behind the old-fashioned, pull-chain toilet at the Italian restaurant. "It's perfect for us."
