Does the Waste Kang splash guard come out like the Insinkerator one in the video?

How/where is your dishwasher drain line connected? If not into the disposal does it tie into the drain pipe before or after the trap?
Years with no oder issues means something has changed (yea, captain obvious here). A garbage disposal should not have an oder by itself, something else has to be causing it. Do you. Have a borescope or small inspection mirror that you can get a good look in it to see if there is something stuck inside it where the blades aren’t reaching? Maybe fill the sink with hot water, pull the drain plug, and turn the disposal on while it is draining. This may cause enough of a water tornado inside the disposal and scrub anything stuck in it.
There might be build up in the drain pipe of the disposal. Depending on how it is plumbed maybe dropping the trap will let you get a bottle brush up into the drain pipe.

scratchyThe rubber splash guard in ours gets pretty funky. I clean occasionally with dawn and a toothbrush. For other odors, lemon rinds work great

RightwireHave you cleaned the underside of the rubber funnel that directs food out of the sink into the disposal?
I had an odor issue and tried the various fixes. I ran a brush used for cleaning glassware down there and it came out a nasty brown. I fond running the disposal once a week and squirting dish soap into to it helps keep that underside of the rubber clean.

220-9erMany mornings I eat Oatmeal for breakfast so I boil some extra water and pour it down each drain.
No smells.
