Anyone have any restaurant recommendations for the Tucson area, specifically Mexican restaurants?

We’ve eaten at El Carros a few times. Excellent. We usually cook Mexican at home.

For American food, consider the new Cold Beer & Cheesebergers.

These are close to each other on Oracle.

I'll second El Charro. I have always eaten at the original one downtown. Their carne seca meat is unique.

I usually get their huge USA Today Chimichanga that is no longer on the menu. They will still make it if you ask for it. I will eat it for two or three meals.

Back from Tucson. What a beautiful country. Food at several places was excellent.
It rained the first day. After that the weather was shirt sleeve.
Favorite site was the trip to Saguaro NP

We drive through the park yesterday. Slow and top down. Not as many wildflowers as we had hoped. Beautiful place

We drove through the park 2 weeks ago, it was beautiful and our favorite place we visited as well. We actually wanted to go back through but just couldn’t fit it in. Love being in the desert.

We were there for the Cologuard Classic Champions Tour golf tournament. My wife was there as a colon cancer survivor and participated in a walk to the 18th green with the final group. Loved getting to do that with her.

Late to the party but one of the prettiest drives in the US is from downtown through Gates Pass to the Desert Museum. It is stunningly beautiful in both directions.

Tucson is a great food city with lots of options. One of our favorites is Boca Tacos... a James Beard nominated taco restaurant.

Also check out the food trucks, most are really good.

One eatery that was excellent is Rusty's. Even the simple green salad was superb.

An alum of the University of Arizona, I long felt that Tucson has the best Mexican food in the country. My favorite was always the original El Charro in the quirky house downtown, but the food is so good around town that if it’s not convenient to go downtown, you can find great food in many areas of Tucson.

Any other good restaurant experiences during your visit?

We are heading down there tomorrow for the week.
