Back from Bogota, sitting in IAH, and life is good.

I had a short, but wonderful trip to Bogota, Colombia. My hosts were fabulous and treated me like a king. Still, it is very gratifying to sit here in the U. S. of A. eating Texas BBQ and drinking American beer.

BTW, The area around Bogota is beautiful and a very uniform climate - reminded me of Berkeley, CA in both scenery and clime.

Been a loooong time since I was in Columbia and Venezuela. Breaks my heart what has happened to the latter. It was bad enough then. Columbia was nice, but a little scary as the State Dept had warnings out not to travel there at that time.
