I hate offended people. They come in two flavours - huffy and whiny - and it's hard to know which is worst. Thanks. We were both 17 when we went to Paris Island. I had to get my parent's signature before eI could enlist, because I wasn't 18. I remember my Dad was eating supper when I walked in the door & handed him the papers. He looked at them, then at me, and jumped up real quick, got a pen, signed the papers & handed them back. He said, "Best damn thing that could ever happen to you boy!" Then went back to eating his supper.
