Police: Officers called to Kim Foxx’s home for report of domestic dispute
FLOSSMOOR, Ill. — Police in south suburban Flossmoor were called to the home of Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx earlier this month after a domestic dispute between her and her husband allegedly turned physical.

Foxx’s husband called 911 shortly after 10 p.m. on June 4, according to records from Flossmoor police obtained by WGN through the Freedom of Information Act,

“[Foxx’s husband] explained that Kimberly got mad about something that was posted on Facebook that he did,” one of the responding officers wrote in a report. “Kimberly asked him to leave and he refused.”

Foxx’s husband said that’s when she grabbed him by the collar and threw down a video game controller he was holding, according to police records. He went on to tell police that Foxx slapped him on the left cheek.

However, Foxx told another officer that “she did put hands on [her husband] but it was only to help guide him out of the house. She never slapped him.”

“Kimberly expressed that she felt [her husband] called the police only to hurt her,” an officer wrote.

One of their daughters, age 19, was home at the time but told police she heard only yelling.

A responding officer wrote that they “did not see any evidence to support an arrest in this incident.”

Foxx and her husband issued a statement to WGN News that said, “This is a personal family matter, and we ask that you provide our family with respect and privacy. “

Well, there you have it. Domestic violence is a personal matter. Police don't need to respond to it. That should help the police budget....

Hmmmm.... Things must be different in Chicago. It would have been a mandatory arrest where I worked. She would have been considered the "primary aggressor".

She lives in Chicago suburb of Flossmoor. Different police force. Probably told to treat with kid gloves.

Probably no charges due to being a case of "Mutual Combat".

LOL, she was only helping “guide” him out of the house.

I would have totally done the paperwork on that. Put hands on someone and it’s an assault. They’re married..that’s domestic violence. In NC that’s a trip to the magistrate who actually makes the decision.

I understand she has secured Amber Heard as a character witness.

If [Foxx's husband] had just spanked her with a fireplace implement in front of family and friends when Kimm got mouthy, everything would have been better.

Not sure about Illinois but here there has to be an injury for it to be an assault.
Otherwise it is Harassment with unwanted physical contact. A simple slap to the face does not generally arise to an assault here.

No mandatory arrest here unless there is injury and the primary physical aggressor can be determined.

And she sucks, but she's right...it is a personal matter and really nobody else's business.

Regardless it’s a local cops worse nightmare, the DA for your county, an outspoken, black, militant leftist female politician and lawyer, whoose Nationality known, and her leftist side has far reach. Good chance officers are white and male, no thanks, punt to a supervisor and let them make the call. IL probably a lot like Massachusetts and NY bosses and Chiefs are politicians first cops second, arresting officer would be sacrificial lamb when Fox and her allies start screaming all the “isms.”

Throwing her husband out of the house for something he posted on Facebook? Real mature. Perfect attitude for someone in such a position of power within the state.

If there is not some kind of intervention these sorts of things tend to repeat themselves. Ask any cop who works patrol.

It is in Cook County but suburbia. Policing is different in those juridictions.

Correct. Until the police are called.
