Open to suggestions for an easy to set up router for a tech challenged friend of mine. She will run laptop, phone and some TV.

We've addressed this numerous times. The advanced search utility will show threads. I chose Google mesh WiFi.

Yes it has been often covered and the most recent thread I found was August of 2018 when I did a search. With the way technology advances I thought there might be something more current. Thanks for your time and letting me know your choice.

Maybe just use the one the ISP supplies.
Without any requirement details it is hard to recommend anything specific.
I know someone will come along and say "I have been using XXX and have not had any problems..." but in all honesty that really is worthless.
At least with your ISP you can get some basic support for the techmo-weary.
