Alaska's balladeer, Hobo Jim recently announced he has terminal cancer and only expected to live 3-6 months. He is remembered for his " Iditarod Song" and many others about life in the last Frontier.

I read this in KTOO news, and was saddened, for he has always been the sound of Alaska to me.

Update, Alaska's Hobo Jim passed away from cancer, 2 weeks after announcing his diagnosis of cancer.

Probably many in Sig Forum have never heard of him or his music, his songs were about Alaskan life. He was 68. He was highly thought of in AK.
