I trust this GOOD Man will land on his feet somewhere that he will be appreciated!

Any SF LEO's that can help w/ a job search for this guy? There has to be one of those 20+ Pro 2A Constitutionalist Sheriffs out in his neck of the woods in WA. This LEO needs to be hired by a agency that would REALLY value his Patriotism and dedication to 'Protecting & Defending' the Constitution of the United States!

What will other officers learn from this? What will they choose when the chips are down?

This officer is a breath of fresh air. I hope everything works out for him.

As he looks for a new position, it will be interesting to see if he's welcomed into another department or shunned. I hope he lands a good gig.

A good number of agencies and departments have strict social media policies, even more, have policies of what you can say while on department/agency time. Many of those are explicit in wording of (in uniform, in vehicles). I doubt this man would have face the same scrutiny had he removed the patches, badge and made the video in a 1972 vw bus.

I watched his first vid and thought it well-spoken, and solidly put. I knew it would cost him his job.

I think this is one of the issues some have with police. The smearing of good cops, while promoting/protecting the idiots.

Chief Moose is my primary example.

Maybe this will be an opportunity for him to get out of Seattle and be more appreciated somewhere else.

If he would have had filmed that video at home or sitting in his own car in street clothes there probably isn't a lot they could have done. But he filmed it sitting in a patrol car in uniform and that is representative of that department and city.

I knew he was likely in trouble when I saw the first video. It was inevitable that someone higher in government was going to take issue with it, and since he was in uniform and in city property they likely have control.

I don't disagree with the message, more officers need to heed this, but as they say. "intnet was good but screwed up on procedure".

Guys like him, and those that formerly employed him, are the very reason that I judge people based on their individual actions and not the group they belong to.

I hope he lands on his feet quickly, as he would be a great asset to whichever community snatches him up.

Yeah, they did give him an out.

Still, it's too bad things have to go that way. But he had to know that's how it would go. It got far enough up the chain of command to find a fearful, CYA, chicken little type that just had to get it shut down.

I agree he will land on his feet and be a great asset to whomever he works for next. He seems like a poster child for 'community policing' that any metropolitan agency would love to have.

They gave him an out, but only to a dead end. He would have accepted that letter or reprimand and been canceled out within a month.

Oh, horse shit. I can't even begin to count the number of times you've made blanket remarks about "the police".

The remark you posted in this thread is up for one reason only- to continue to try to explain something I don't believe and which I told you to drop.

Any further posts from you in this thread and this thread gets locked.

I'm asking that you don't lock this thread, as it's not mine.

But I'm the first one that posted this video. You know this officer, a police officer, said the exact same thing I said (in the original thread I posted it), where you said I was spewing anti-police bias.

Make up your mind. Is this officer displaying anti-police bias? He and I said the exact same thing, and that's what you accused me of doing (again). And this isn't the first time. When I say something it's "anti-police" in your mind, yet when others say the exact same thing (especially when they ARE police officers) they don't get the same attention from you.

I did not comment in this thread to "continue to explain" jack. I commented in this thread since I was the first one to post it previously, with my exact same sentiments previously.

You know how you say I show a clear pattern of hating the police? I'd say you're showing a pretty clear pattern of accusing people of hating the police when they are not. I support good people, like this guy in this video, and I don't support people who aren't good. It's that simple.
