Woodward Admits No Evidence Of Trump-Russia Collusion: "I Looked For It Hard For 2 Years"
From Zero Hedge:
Authored by John Walsh via DissidentVoice.org
Bob Woodward’s book Fear has been a sensation in many respects. But one aspect has barely been mentioned.
After two years of exhaustive research for his book, Woodward says that he has found no evidence of collusion between Putin’s government and Donald Trump’s campaign in 2016. Zilch, nada, zero. And Woodward strained very hard looking for it.
This largely ignored blockbuster admission came in a radio interview with Hugh Hewitt reported by Real Clear Politics here, where a recording of the full interview can also be found.
Real Clear Politics reports the text of the exchange thus:
“In an interview with Hugh Hewitt on Friday, Bob Woodward said that in his two years of investigating for his new book, ‘Fear,’ he found no evidence of collusion or espionage between Trump and Russia. Woodward said he looked for it ‘hard’ and yet turned up nothing.
“’Did you, Bob Woodward, hear anything in your research in your interviews that sounded like espionage or collusion?’ Hugh Hewitt asked Woodward.
"’I did not, and of course, I looked for it, looked for it hard,’ Woodward answered. ‘And so you know, there we are. …..’
“’But you’ve seen no collusion?’ Hewitt asked again to confirm.
“’I have not,’ Woodward affirmed.
“Hewitt would once again ask Woodward about collusion at the conclusion of the interview.
“’Very last question, Bob Woodward, I just want to confirm, at the end of two years of writing this book, this intensive effort, you saw no effort, you, personally, had no evidence of collusion or espionage by the president presented to you?’ Hewitt asked.
“’That is correct,’ Woodward said.”

mbinkyBob also said General's Mattis and Kelly were pretty much lying when they denied the quotes attributed to them.
I believe both of them TEN times more than Bob.
Fuck Bob. Bob has been trying to be relevant. 40 years ago the old Bob
might have been worried about an overreaching government. Modern Bob is obviously "woke".
So he says there is no evidence? I don't care. He has lost credibility on ALL subjects with his book. Third party "anonymous" quotes? Really? You can't win it back with a half hearted supportive comment Bob.
Retire Bob. To that socialist paradise I keep hearing about from the left. Or are you really afraid that it dosen't exist? Is that why you don't want to exit stage left? (See what I did there...)

2012BOSS302Stumping in Missouri, Trump says he'll clear out
‘lingering stench’ at FBI, DOJPresident Trump took aim at the FBI and the Department of Justice during a rally in Springfield, Mo., on Friday night, vowing to "get rid of" what he described as "a lingering stench" at the agencies.
His remarks came amid reports that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein last year suggested secretly recording Trump to expose chaos in the White House and enlisting Cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
Trump at the rally did not specifically mention Rosenstein, who has adamantly denied the accusations.
"Just look at what is now being exposed in our Department of Justice and the FBI. Look at what’s going on," Trump said. "And I want to tell you, we have great people in the Department of Justice. We have great people. These are people, I really believe, you take a poll, I gotta be at 95 percent. But you got some real bad ones. You've seen what's happened at the FBI. They're all gone. They’re all gone. They’re all gone. But there's a lingering stench and we’re going to get rid of that too."
President Donald Trump arrives to speak during a campaign rally, Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, in Springfield, Mo.
Trump was in Missouri in support of state Attorney General Josh Hawley, a Republican who is attempting to unseat incumbent U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill, a Democrat.
Trump said that Hawley was needed in the Senate "to fight for Missouri" and the "whole country" because the Republican Party would "never, ever get a vote" from McCaskill, including on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
"Brett Kavanaugh, fantastic man. She just announced she won't vote for him," Trump said of McCaskill. "He was born for the U.S. Supreme Court. He was born for it. And it's going to happen. It's going to happen. But she just announced, she's not voting … and she’ll vote against everything we want to do."
McCaskill tweeted Wednesday night that she would not vote for Kavanaugh. In her message, she explicitly wrote that his legal rulings and ideology -- and not the allegations by Christine Blasey Ford -- were the reason for her decision.
The president also said that "a vote for Claire McCaskill" was one in favor of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.; Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.; and U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif.
Trump also slammed Democrats, calling them "dangerous" and "crazy," noting that some have called to abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
"And they aren’t just extreme, they are frankly dangerous and they are crazy. They’re crazy," Trump said. "Democrats want to abolish ICE. In other words, they want to abolish immigration enforcement entirely. Let violent, sadistic gangs like MS-13, the worst gang in the world, run wild in our communities."
"I've seen our guys from ICE. I've seen it. I've watched it. MS-13, they’re tough but they’re not tough like our guys. They're not tough like our ICE people," Trump continued.
President Donald Trump addresses the crowd during a campaign rally Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, in Springfield, Mo.
Trump won Missouri during the 2016 presidential election, defeating opponent Hillary Clinton there by double digits.
The president has previously campaigned for and endorsed Hawley in the state’s U.S. Senate race, telling an audience over the summer, “We need Josh badly.”
In a June tweet, he dubbed McCaskill “so phony” for her use of a private plane for two of the three days of her supposed campaign RV tour.
"Senator Claire McCaskill of the GREAT State of Missouri flew around in a luxurious private jet during her RV tour of the state," Trump wrote. "RV’s are not for her. People are really upset, so phony! Josh Hawley should win big, and has my full endorsement."
For her part, McCaskill reportedly acknowledged that she had used a private plane, but insisted she had not used office funds and made no apologies for taking trips to see her constituents.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown September 24, 2018, 07:25 PM

No time to watch him, I did see on Fox News a bit ago that we (the USA) are paying 25% of the UN operating costs. Time we put a stop to that shit and insist that every member nation pay their tab or they do not vote on any thing related to the UN, and will receive ZERO help from old uncle sugar if/when a shit storm strikes their land. Not to mention a plan to recover all the money we spent protecting their asses over the decades.

Cripes.
We have family and life long friends in Germany. They are sick of the shit but are helpless to prevent it. They have too many political parties and have to develop coalitions to govern. This practically guarantees that very little will actually get done, and what does get done is so watered down (to meet coalition demands) that it is useless.

sdy https://www.breitbart.com/big-...dmanufacturingindex/Manufacturing Is Unexpectedly Booming in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina
Manufacturing expanded at a much faster clip than expected in September, according to the results from the most recent survey by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
The survey covers manufacturing in the Fed’s Fifth District, which includes Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
“The composite index rose from 24 in August to 29 in September, buoyed by increases in shipments and new orders, while the index of the third component, employment, dropped. Survey respondents were optimistic, expecting growth to continue in the next six months,” the Richmond Fed said.
Despite the fall in the employment index, this component remains positive. Growth in wages and the average workweek expanded. Manufacturers said they continue to struggle to find employees with the skills needed.
Local business conditions improved markedly. Capital expenditures are up. Shipments and new orders also improved.
The jump was unexpected. After strong numbers in August, economists had predicted the Richmond Fed’s manufacturing index to fall to 20.

As was I when I heard he said that (again), frankly. Germany is currently getting just short of a quarter of its energy sources from Russia - 12.4 percent in oil (of a total share of 34.5 percent oil in energy production), 8.8 percent in natural gas (of a total of 23.8 - Russian share might rise to 9.3 if the controversial Nord Stream 2 pipeline becomes operable), and 3.7 percent in hard coal (of a total of 10.9).
That's hardly a controlling stake, and in fact even at the end of the Cold War the then-Soviet share in West German gas imports was 50 percent (though gas was overall used less back then). In addition to oil in particular being a fungible commodity, the German energy market is also further diversifying; including through building a LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven that also might import American gas one day - something Trump is trying to sell, though that will obviously happen only if it can compete with the prices of other LNG sources.
Plus we have the whole move away from fossile energy and building up renewables, already accounting for 36 percent of electric power generation - though I'm sceptical about the political vision of an 80 percent share by 2050. Anyway, a lot of European countries like Austria, the Czech Republic and Finland are more dependent upon energy imports from Russia than Germany; and neither can the Russians easily sell their gas somewhere else if they should should shut down their pipelines, with ill effects for their national budget that's depending a lot on energy exports.

alteon180ehis UN speech was music. fantastic rebuttal to the globalist fools. present and future. ill take our president over any smarmy, duplicitous leader in western Europe.
September 26, 2018, 07:24 AM
reloader-1Banshee, I’m the one laughing at you now.
So Russia provides roughly a quarter of Germany’s energy, and that is not “a controlling stake”? So hypothetically, if Russia curtailed energy exports for whatever reason Germany would not be significantly affected?
You might want to research what even a 2-5% impact to energy inputs might do to a country (hint: it’s not pretty), let alone 25%.
