Barry and his butt buddies are so confused, on one hand they want to take credit for everything and on the other hand "Trump is the worst president ever". Barry needs to SFTU and go back to the shithole he came from.

Sorry if this ha already been posted, but a search for “Jon Voight” suggests that it hasn’t. “Actor and estranged father to Angelina Jolie, Jon Voight, went on the president's favorite cable network, Fox News, and slammed what he calls the left-leaning media's attacks on Trump. Deliverance star Voight proclaims that the president has delivered on his campaign promises, which leads the left's 'virulence' because 'he's effective.' 'He's actually doing what said he would do. Amazing thing in itself, isn't it?' Voight said on Fox News' 'Life, Liberty & Levin' on Sunday. 'But he is actually accomplishing returning to our basic principals of government that are given to us by those guys on the wall over there (as he points to a wall of presidential portraits that serves as the show's backdrop)…” https://dailym.ai/2oWg9tn Serious about crackers

https://www.politico.com/story...midterms-2018-815705 McConnell screws Dems ahead of election with October session Traditionally the Senate hits the road for October of an election year. But the Senate is throwing tradition out the window this year. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is planning to keep the chamber in session for a significant portion of October if not four entire weeks, costing Democrats key campaign trail days and allowing the chamber to continue its work into the fall, according to five Republican officials. The GOP leader wants to keep cranking through as many lifetime judicial nominations and executive nominations as he can with his majority in the balance and the GOP still with the unilateral ability to confirm President Donald Trump’s picks. Moreover, the Senate GOP only has two members who are considered vulnerable in the election: Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Nevada Sen. Dean Heller. Democrats, meanwhile, are defending 10 total seats in states that Trump won in 2016, with at least four of them considered extremely competitive. The House is expected to head home for the rest of the election season after passing a spending bill later this month. But with the Senate’s unique role confirming the president’s nominees and little political downside to staying in session, McConnell plans to forge ahead into October after slashing the August recess down to little more than two weeks. The Senate GOP has already confirmed 26 Circuit Court nominees and 41 District Court nominees to lifetime appointments, plus Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, in about 20 months time. Another 27 District Court judges and one Circuit Court judge is ready for the floor. And in the next two weeks, the Senate Judiciary Committee is on track to have three more Circuit Court judge nominees, 17 District court picks and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh ready for the floor. Several more have been nominated by the president. “We’re going to clear the deck of all the circuit judges,” McConnell told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt last week. “If we can hold onto the Senate for two more years, we’re going to transform the federal judiciary with young men and women who believe in the fundamental notion that the job of a judge is to interpret the law as it’s written.” It’s by far the most confirmations on the powerful Circuit Courts in modern history. And a reminder of the stakes of the upcoming election: If Democrats can pull off an upset win and take back the Senate, they can move to slow Trump’s nominations and set the table for the next president of their party, just as McConnell did to President Barack Obama in 2015 and 2016. McConnell compared the Senate races to a “knife fight in an alley” during an appearance in Kentucky on Tuesday. Republicans are favored to keep the Senate, but if Democrats run the table in conservative states like Texas, Tennessee and Arizona and protect their incumbents they could take back the chamber. “All of them too close to call,” McConnell said Tuesday. “I hope when the smoke clears we will still have a majority in the Senate.”

Mark Levin’s interview with Jon Voigt was one of the best of his shows I’ve seen. If you get a chance to watch a recording or rerun, don’t miss it! I wasn’t expecting much, but Voigt is extremely articulate about how the Democrat party left him (to use Reagan’s phrase), why he supports Israel (very personal and touching story), and on other important issues. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

I'm not gonna politicize the Hurricane Florence thread: Pres. Trump rightly commemorated the 9/11 attacks today. Tomorrow, he needs to very vocally and directly state that he is allowing the federal gov't to do everything possible to assist the state and local governments with disaster aid. Anyone remember Katrina? Seems like that was brought up a lot during the election year and Bush took a beating from the media. (Yes, I get it, Nagan was the root cause of the dysfunction) I think the more Pres. Trump can get out ahead of this issue, the better.

I just watched a C-SPAN program, a panel discussion on "Presidents and Intelligence". The panel included Jim Clapper, Mike Hayden, Phil Mudd, and Mike Rogers. "Moderator" was Nicolle Wallace. Moderators usually make at least some effort to appear neutral. Wallace made every "question" an appeal for some negative comment regarding President Trump. Obama was scarcely mentioned. The panelists appeared to get along well; even though (per Conservative Treehouse) Clapper tried to get Mike Rogers fired from his job as director of NSA for allegedly going to Trump prior to his inauguration and telling him the NSA was spying on him. Rogers refused to make nay negative political comments about Trump, despite nagging by "moderator" Wallace. Hayden and Clapper were more than willing to go along and let everyone know Trump is unfit for office. Mudd tried to sit on the fence, but he (in his new role as CNN analyst) is famous for screaming at a GOP trump supporter Mudd's famous CNN rant. Here is the link to the C-SPAN website page for this program. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"
