I think hyperbolic words like "awesome, tremendous, outstanding, etc". One can no longer say something is just good, or good job, nice, etc.

So, like, literally yeah, basically at the end of the day, it's amazing that, at this moment in time, we can even have a conversation about Taco Tuesday.

Seriously, like ensigmatic, explaining engineering ideas in laymen’s terms often requires “wiggle words” like approximately, generally, basically, should, and so on that give the general idea with too much specifics so an issue or idea can be understood without being too technical. It gives us a little leeway to explain further if we get called on it by the lawyers if something goes wrong and it ends up in litigation, too.
Right?

It's obvious that the generally accepted meaning of some words and even some phrases , have evolved over the years . It's been going on forever and it's going to continue . We can bitch and complain but we can't make it stop .

Starting a sentence in a conversation with “To be honest…” So, what - have you been lying to me up until now? If you have to tell me you’re about to be honest I now must doubt everything you said before that…

Well, to be perfectly honest with you, I only lied to you the times I didn't use the phrase.
