It all happened so fast??? He had two and half minutes to simply stop. The world is a better place.

He was willing to seriously injure a cop for the rest of his life or even kill him because he couldn’t get his act together. At least he can’t harm anyone else. What a waste of life.

Mission accomplished! At least we don't have to wonder what the last thing to go through his mind was.

The girlfriend telling the officer to jump off. Maybe next time she'll know the officer means business and tell the boyfriend to stop.

Am I the only one who thinks that the neck tattoo is a dead giveaway? Might as well be wearing a shirt that says, "I'm a low-life piece of scum who doesn't even respect my own body."

I would be interested in our LEO's take on how a person's appearance affects their interaction. I know that this is not politically correct in our current society, but someone who is practically screaming "in your face" is someone who goes up on my radar as a potential threat.

^^arch, when I was policing the whole neck tattoo was a good sign things wouldn’t go easy-it’s just something I Noted.

I didn’t treat them any differently than other customers. Ask, Tell, Make was used on all the criminals I dealt with. Soon you get a reputation and they quit screwing around because they know you are all business.

Polite and professional to people you encounter, help grandma change a tire or checking on their pops who hasn’t answered the phone in a week. Being professional wasn’t hard.

Warrants for assault and strangulation...how much you wanna bet the victim in that case was the same girlfriend with him in the truck that day who's yelling at the cop to jump off at 30mph, and then criticizing the police for shooting him. Roll Eyes

What happened immediately after the shot was fired?
How did the 30 mph flatbed come to a stop?
How did the officer shoot the driver without hitting the passenger?

His gun was aimed downward.

My first CCW permit instructor told us his officer involved shooting involved backing up his partner.
His partner had reached into a guys truck to grab the keys (on the steering column) and the bad guy grabbed his arm trapping him to the side of the truck. As he took off, he started to veer left to scrub off the cop using a building.
They don’t teach holding a Glock at arms length while running, with your wrist bent backwards, (knuckles toward elbow), in order to shoot past your partner.
