Woman Who Live-Streamed Her Boyfriend’s Police Shooting is Arrested for Hammer Attack
Remember her?
Diamond Reynolds, the woman who famously live-streamed the controversial fatal police shooting of Philando Castile, has been arrested in connection with a vicious attack that left another woman with serious injuries.
Reynolds, Dyamond Richardson, and Chnika Blair were apprehended Thursday in St. Paul, Minnesota, after allegedly attacking a woman with a hammer Tuesday night, and leaving the scene in a silver truck.
The three women are now in the Ramsay County jail, awaiting likely charges of felony assault.
Reynolds gained global attention after her boyfriend, restaurant worker Philando Castile, was shot during a routine traffic stop, also in Ramsey County, near Minneapolis.
As Castile lay slumped dying over the steering wheel, in the drivers’ seat of his car, blood soaking through his shirt, Reynolds, in the passenger seat, calmly narrated their encounter with Officer Jeronimo Yanez.
In the video, Reynolds describes the traffic stop, addressing the officer, politely, as “sir,” but careful to lay out the events that led to the shooting.
Yanez has been charged with one count of manslaughter and two counts of dangerous discharge of a firearm in connection to Castile’s death. He pleaded not guilty on Monday and is due to stand trial in the spring.
Reynolds is scheduled to appear as a witness for the prosecution in Yanez’s case.
Reynolds told the media late last year that that she believed Yanez would not have been charged had she not turned on her Facebook Live application. She also said that since the shooting, she has not been able to find stable employment because too many people recognized her from the viral video.
Ramsey County, where the three women were taken into custody, has asked a neighboring county, Washington, to take hammer attack case and handle any charges, over concerns that Reynolds’s arrest could cause a conflict of interest.
And prior to the shooting, she was not able to find stable employment because too many people recognized her as an uneducated, unstable a-hole.

Oh, you mean the viral video of her and Castile smoking dope with the baby in the back seat?

Let me guess... she was just trying to submit an application for employment?

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown
