No one is pure enough to escape the stinking maw of political correctness. The pearl clutching astonished tyrants who threaten to consume `everything enjoyable about life are numerous and never sleep. But they only have the power we give them. Just like Satan himself.

By the lights of these wokists you'd probably find that the entire 'Bat out of Hell' album is far too sexually explicit and exploitative and ought to banned from sale.

Somehow I feel "Baby Got Back" will be immune to this idiocy. Hmmm, I wonder why the exemption. To quote Para, "A real puzzler ain't it?"

The wokeists are cancelling a song by a bisexual hedonist with crossdressing tendencies who died of AIDS after giving the greatest performance in rock history to raise money for starving people in Africa.

To quote Madeleine Khan "How... ordinary."

For the life of me I can't remember the song, maybe it will come to me, but a couple of weeks ago driving home from my dads in Daytona the local classic Rock station was blanking out some lyrics in a classic tune, it was clear it was because of what the word was and how it is labeled today, not that it was something they could get in trouble for playing it was clearly dropped.

It was a clear blank out of the word like you see done when an assistant dumps a DJ or pundits words before they go over the air...

Any media outlet that is censoring lyrics, or changing the words in movies, not to keep the audience from hearing Fuck on NBC, but to keep in step with current social idealism should be boycotted.

"Rich Men North of Richmond" and "Fat Bottomed Girls" just went to the top of my playlist.

It was explained to me once that it's all in the spelling. Fat vs. Phat, the latter meaning fine.

The FCC "prohibits" profanity on the air. "Prohibit" and illegal, however, are two different things and leave a lot of wiggle room.

IT wasn't profanity that was blanked out... it was a clear woke cleansing...

WAIT!!! WAIT, HOLD IT, STOP THE PRESSES...

This just in...

quote:
The famed British rock band Queen is releasing a new version of their greatest hits album, and some have noticed that one of their most famous songs, Fat Bottomed Girls, is missing from this new version. The media, primarily conservative and right-leaning outlets, have suspected this change was due to “cancel culture”— that Gen-Z woke snowflakes were offended by the use of the term “fat” in the song.

But this made no sense. The woke Left are the champions of the “fat positivity movement,” and this entire song is a love letter to plus-sized women. Something about this reporting seemed off.

After a quick Google search, I discovered that the newest version of their greatest hits album will be released on Yoto, a music site for children. Yoto is intended for children aged 0 through 12. This fact has been glossed over in much of the reporting and commentary on the controversy.

Damn. Have to pack up the torches and pitch forks until the next "TO THE BARRICADES!!!!"

I bet they don't have "Tie Your Mother Down" on that album, either.

If that's the case, then, one imagines, they removed Bohemian Rhapsody as well.

Same mindset who came up with the claim that Abraham Lincoln didn't do enough to fight slavery so, lets cancel him, rename various institutions and tear down statues of him.
This mindset has wormed its way into all levels of institutions, in this case, i'm sure an executive and a lawyer got together searching for offensive songs...they stopped at Fat Bottomed Girls
