His Royal Hiney |
I believe you. I can't see a legit commercial truck driver risking his means of earning a livelihood by doing what he did unless there was something wrong about him in the first place before he hit you. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

^^^ I see; it’s a valid statement. I should clarify. I sued him and during discovery, it came out that he would be terminated if he got in another accident so that is why he left. But, I left out that he came and asked how I was doing. I told him him I thought I would be OK. He then said he’d needed to use the radio back in his truck to call for help. However, instead of radioing in for help, he took off as I was still alive and breathing. I wasn’t really paying attention to much, shock, pain, and all that so I didn’t even know he had left until the UHP told me. So, reckless driving with some humanity that faded as soon as he saw I had a pulse and wasn’t in danger of dying. The other trucker, who saw the entire accident, was the one who nailed him for LEO and me. __________________________
