I want to print a wide spreadsheet -- let's say 50 columns by 5 rows. Currently, if I try to print, I can get about 10 columns per page. But then I have a lot of empty space on the page since it's only 5 rows. Is there a way I can print, say, 3 x 10 columns with 5 rows each on the same page? Or is Microcrap sw not smart enough? Are you printing portrait or landscape? Can you print tabloid (11 x 17)? Before printing are you choosing show all columns on one page? Can you reformat the data to fit the page as you desire? Have you tried the "print tiles" feature? That might allow formatting you suggested?

landscape. limited to 8x11. I can reformat the data but it's system generated. don't want to reformat every time it's updated. I can scale to fit all columns but then it's unreadable "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." some where in the print dialog box it should have a drop down for Scaling, which defaults to "No Scaling" -------------------- I like Sigs and HK's, and maybe Glocks

I am away from my computer, but I think print tiles might skin the cat. Also, maybe go to page break preview then drag those or add them as desired?

Scaling doesn't help in this case because it's too wide. But this tile thing might be on the right track. I think I can print 2 "pages" on one side of paper - better than before. But I still have room for about 4 "pages" total per sheet (side) of paper. I'll try to play with it more. Thanks! "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." I don't know if this will help, but in addition to using tiles, try selecting only the cells you need, and printing only that selection. You might also be able to expand the page margins to fit more on a single sheet.

Thanks. I guess I should mention that I sometimes print to PDF for paper printing later (at different location). So, this might make it tedious to print the whole spreadsheet. But I'm still playing with this tiles concept. Not completely doing what a want yet but closer than before "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." I do this all day, every day. ..50 columns is really going to be a reach for readability. You can darken the font or even up the font size but still this just sounds like too much for one page in terms of width. 11x17" on landscape setting is the largest I can go...still need to be able to read it Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus, Soli Deo Gloria, Sola Scriptura

I should clarify - I'm not trying to print all columns together or even on one sheet. Currently, printing results in 8 sheets of paper. But each sheet with about 5-10 columns and 5 rows is only used about 25% - the rest of the sheet is blank. I want to combine what is currently multiple pages onto a single sheet - one sheet has 2-4 blocks of 5-10 columns x 5 rows. I've been able to "tile" 2 pages on one sheet - trying to get 4 pages on one sheet now. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." I have printed 8 1/2 by 17 in landscape which is all on one sheet. 41

As I understand it, konata88 is basically trying to "wrap" the rows so that they all appear on one page, or as few pages as possible, just like you can wrap the content inside a cell, as opposed to letting it flow on top of the cells to the right.

Best way is probably to set up another sheet that mirrors the data but in a more printable format. That way you can do your work in the format you want but print it the other way. There are some macros that can help if you're an advanced user (I am not.) Google "excel print wrap rows and you'll see a few hits. This method may take some time but you'll only have to do it once. You can force it to print on as many pages wide and tall as you want in print options. I think you can see the options in the print preview screen.
