#WalkAwAsian - We had the Blexit and WalkAway campaigns, now Asians turn. This one makes the most sense to me.
Why Asians would vote democrat confuses me (same goes for Jews too). Usually they are hard working, independent, family oriented, religious, business owners and conservative. So why when it comes to to politics would they vote against their own self interests and beliefs? I'd venture if you go to whatever social office handles food stamps and look around it would be hard to find one Asian in there.
In NYC Asians vote democrat that could change though with how deblasio wants to change the testing to gain access to the specialized high schools. They also like their free stuff.

As long as they don't #driveaway......lol
Full disclosure: I'm married to an Asian lady who has crashed through my garage door twice and nearly killed us multiple times.......so #walkaway is definitely safer.

WTF is with her accent??? It ain't asian.
I think Asians conform to the social norms around them. Asians tend to be in big cities that are the conclaves of liberals. And even though it may go against their values, they buy into the marketing that Democrats are "for the poor folks" which they can identify as most of Asians do come here poor but end up successful and they believe the propaganda that Republicans are against poor people.

My family is weird. We grew up poor. We’ve always been Republicans. We never got free stuff. We always worked for what we needed.
Not minority enough!

I'm sorry but, her odd, nasally Australian accent was a distraction.
Immigrants from Asia are inherently conservative and identify much more so with conservative view points: family, entrepreneurialism, education, faith and self-determination. However most do not want, nor care, to get involved with politics at any level, which is why some of the home countries have experienced despots, communism and ruling elites...people didn't act. The liberal marketing machine, overwhelming bias from entertainment and news media pushes those that aren't politically aware to default onto buzzwords and false narratives during elections.
While I abhor the idea of pandering, the fact that the RNC has not appealed to entrepreneurs and small business owners from Asian and Hisplanic communities, which are the bedrock of the American dream, shows there's still work to be done.

Hard to deny that many Asian immigrants are ambitious and extremely status conscious.
Liberals have total control over a number of lucrative, high status fields. Also for whatever reason liberalism is associated with higher class.
So, you want to get ahead, you can read the handwriting on the wall, you know what to do.... Ta Da woke as fuck Asians.

I would submit that another, perhaps larger, percentage of the population has no idea whatsoever who they are voting for. If they see more Joe Smith yard signs than they do for John Jones, they'll vote for Joe Smith. If John Jones is the incumbent, they'll vote for John Jones.
I think it really is as simple as that. Asians are stupid. Jews are stupid. Pollocks are stupid. Blacks are stupid. Catholics are stupid. In short, voters are stupid. If they'd take fifteen minutes out of any day to actually know what the candidates stand for and are willing to work for, and then look at their record, I believe that they'd vote far differently than what we see.
Most can't be troubled with the effort.

If you're of a creative bent you're going to trend liberal however, that doesn't mean you're politically liberal. Executives and entrepreneurs are apt to go-with-the-flow, take advantage of whatever zeitgeist is happen in order to monetize that movement. Modern media and marketing would have you believe that being hard-left, anti-anything conservative is not just bad but, needs to be abolished.
Combine that with a percentage of the population who hates POTUS not because of any policy but, because he's 'not political', he doesn't hang-out with the right people, he's boorish, acts more like Richie from Jersey rather than Richard from Westchester. Optics and perception play a large part in people's opinions, regardless of class, education, or affluence, hence why people flock to celebrities.

Sounds like a mix of Australian and something like Thai, Cambodian, or Vietnamese. The south Asian inflection is definitely there. It's an interesting mix that we don't hear in the USA all the time, that's for sure.

She's a Chinese-Kiwi-American who lives in Dallas Texas. You mix those things and you get something very strange.

Eh, we've got so many combinations of Asians in Texas that none of their accents really count as "very strange" here anymore. And in that regard, Houston has Dallas beat by a country mile.

Since your answer boils down to "voters are stupid," it's a pretty stupid answer.
The question posed in the OP is why Asians would vote democrat being they usually have conservative values. Do all voters have conservative values? No. So answering the question by saying they're stupid is pretty fucking stupid.

God she’s annoying. I do agree on the “stupid” comment when it comes to the casual voter. I suspect a good portion of voters vote on name recognition, what sounds moral, and who’s on TV the most rather than voting record and past actions.

Why?
Most hard-working, honest folks don't spend a lot of time focusing on politics. The Dims come around with their pious talking points about "the children," and "the poor" and the unfairness of life.
Being sympathetic, but not being blinkered, they vote "for the underdog." That's why.
You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

Wish someone would campaign and tell the Asians that the democrats hurt the Asian population more than help. Their lust for affirmative action actively hurts college enrollments for Asian students because it requires Asian students to score higher for admission.
Hell if you really think about it, even blacks should be against the democrats because they're saying blacks are dumber and therefore need to score lower to get into the universities.
Most of the older black folks I know have very conservative values but their voting records seem to say otherwise. I think it's the main stream media at work again selling lies.
