My sister has it. Been relatively successful in dealing with it. She mentioned that there's contact between people with this disease, but I'm not sure how that's done. She 'coaches' some of those with it in how to deal with it. She's an acquaintance of Deepak Chopra, so she takes a holistic approach, which seems to have worked for her and a couple of others. Good luck, as, presently, there's no cure.

Well I had to go look that one up. At least what I read from the Mayo Clinic, it is a disease that’s treatable, if caught early and “may” be halted in just a few months. On the other side of that, it seems that medication could be required for a longer period of time to prevent a reoccurrence.

I wish you guys well. Sounds like it will be treatable, but it’s going to take some time.

I had never heard of it before. Judging from what I just read online, I suspect an infection is the underlying cause. She might try a paleo diet, if a low carb/low sugar diet reduced the problem one would expect a bacterial or fungal infection. Someone experienced in alternative health care might be able to do some simple tests to help determine the causative agent. Email me if you want more info.
