There were three people shot in a local mall Sunday, regrettably. To their credit, however, a female Lexington cop grabbed a vest out of her car and ran to the scene, and an off duty nurse in the mall provided first aid.

I honestly think that's pretty cool. No one likely would have known the two were nearby had they decided to leave the area. Instead, they ran towards the sound of gunfire.
