What a beautiful dog. We are going on 2.5 years with our mini Aussie. The puppy stage was long and stressful but I luv this dog and it's personality.

Well, she's been home for a day now so I'm betting she's well into being spoiled just as she should be, she's adorable. When we first started with Greyhounds they told us they had to have "special" food with "special" meaning the most expensive stuff in the store. We started them on the boutique food but they weren't really doing good on it. We fed Iams Lamb Meal and Rice for years and switched over to Purina Pro Plan and they all do great. They also get rotisserie chicken every day and on Saturday's when I grill burgers they share a burger with their chicken. Greyhounds and Galgo's also love plain frycake donuts. I usually get two on Saturday morning. One for the four of them to share on Sat and one for Sun breakfast.
Mine are a bit spoiled.

Too cute!

I guess now would be a good time to stock up on tennis balls. Wink

I got a good supply of tennis and racquet balls, Sunny D was nuts over them. Ahyoka Star seems to be also.

She has been a little hurricane this morning! Getting into everything! She attacked my Christmas tree! So far she had brought me three bows from it!

She has played with some toys, and she takes them back to the pile before getting another one....LoL....she's been running around like crazy for about an hour and half since the last nap. That's about average, then she'll nap for an hour.

She has been very good for the most part, but being a puppy she is into everything.

She's beautiful. Great choice!

My old boss had an Aussie; he was our shop dog. Such a great dog - I've never seen him as happy as he was the day they took him to a friend's farm and let him herd the sheep (he made a mess of it, but he had a blast). Those sheep, fortunately, were used to new dogs being taught how to herd and were tolerant.

You probably need to start getting your arm in shape. That cutie will wear you out Big Grin Congrats on a great addition to your family!

A side note. When we dog sit our sons Aussy and Border, the second either the wife or I roll over when we're sleeping those dogs get totally engaged. I guess that's why they watch a flock. Upsets the wife and I at night but I give those girls dog treats in the AM. You're going to love the heck out of that pup!

Side note: my brother's brindle boxer wore out his (pitching) arm chasing tennis balls. I gave him a (attackers short) lacrosse stick so he could throw it really far without hurting his arm.

Congratulations, great looking Aussie pup. I would suggest that you avoid any balls that have an abrasive covering on them like tennis balls; they can wear a dog’s teeth down. We use the rubber balls that come with those flexing throwers like the “Chuckit” ball launchers, they’ll save your arm as well.

Enjoy your new best friend...

She has been doing so good. I have been working on "sit" and she is doing really well. She isn't asking yet, but she kind of is to go out to potty.

She sleeps for an hour or two, then she is a little hurricane for an hour or so. I'm trying to get her crate trained, but she doesn't like being out of my sight.

I stay with her, and she is fairly good, but as soon as I leave the room she starts to cry. I let her cry herself out and it's killing me!

I have sat in there, let her walk in and out and given treats. I have fed her dinner in there. Yet I put her in and leave and she starts crying. I'm working on it, but it's killing me to hear her cry. I know that we will get it, but I'm not liking it!

Besides that, she has been very good. She is catching on to "sit" well. I'm very happy with her learning that.

I sure can tell when she is tired, she gets fussy! LoL getting her to settle isn't to bad, but she is a fussy thing when she's tired!

Beautiful pup. Congratulations! You are in for some amazing fun times with a little lack of sleep mixed in the beginning. Well worth it for sure.

It’s affordable when you’re feeding a dog that eats less than a cup a day.

We switched all of our kids to Fromm several months ago. The dogs lost weight and are looking great, while the cats don't throw up every day like they use to do and it didn't matter the food brand.

Ahyoka Star meets Santa Claus.

https://flic.kr/p/2kjm2nt

She did very good! She didn't get sick one the car ride, was a little scared at first, but became more comfortable.

She tried to give Santa Claus a kiss, but there was an invisible shield there, so she kissed that....LoL
