Coffee in a K-cup is ground very fine. You'd probably need to regrind your coffee to get the same results from a reusable K-cup. ================================================ Ultron: "You're unbearably naive." Vision: "Well, I was born yesterday."

Yeah... that probably ain't gonna fly. First of all: A truly capable grinder that can grind finely, with a consistent grind, is going to cost on upwards to $500 or so. Anything less will produce, among other things, an effect we call "fines": Very, very fine coffee particles, dust really, that'll really clog up the works. Secondly: Such grinders are designed to grind whole beans. Feed it already-ground coffee and you'll probably (almost certainly) get clogging and overheating in the grinder. And the re-grinding process will probably burn the grind. Yes: I am something of a coffee geek ![]() "America is at that awkward stage. We used plastic type a while and then lid would eventually break from being folded back and forth at the hinge. Found some metal ones with no hinge and more holes everywhere. I like them better and assume they will last longer. ------------------ SBrooks
