There's no "may" about it. They didn't disclose that they were charging higher prices on items being delivered.

I didn't and unless you think I'm the only person who didn't know it, then it's not as obvious as you say.

You're not alone, Para. Count me in the "wouldn't have had a clue" camp. Until very, very recently (and supported by this thread), I thought delivery with DoorDash, GrubHub, et. al. was based on regular menu pricing from the restaurant and then you just tipped the delivery person...well. Guess not, eh?

And also "guess not" to my EVER ordering anything to be delivered to my house. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had food delivered to my front door, and it was a larger order for multiple pizzas for a party.

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Chick-Fil-A advertising free or low cost delivery by Chick-Fil-A employees and then jacking up the prices for items on delivery orders over in-store prices is a crap way of treating customers. Shame on them indeed. I’ll be checking my wife’s email for the settlement.

I've never ordered using these delivery services for this very reason.

Back in the old days, and still to this day, some places have their own delivery drivers. Locally for example, Pizza Hut, and Jimmy John's, both employ their own drivers so the third party charges aren't "baked-in" to the cost. If there is a delivery cost it's included in the order price during checkout. For this reason HOWEVER, they have very small delivery areas when using the in store drivers.

You can still order from either of them outside that area through the delivery service apps, and it's always more.

If CFA pulled this crap on their own app, or even a third party app, that's just plain wrong.

Fast food just isn't fast anymore when you have to wait for someone else to drive it to you.

This isn’t anything new. Every place does this. Door dash, shipt....they all raise the price of the items to cover the fees, delivery.

Once again, the point is that Chick-Fil-A was deceptive in the way they went about things.

Please stop posting that everyone does this, everyone knows this, this isn't anything new, etc.
