This battery is for an Angel Care AC417 baby monitor. I have searched online but the only one is from the monitor company for $30. A little steep for me. This is definitely a chinese battery and im fine with a generic knock off.

Size is 2 1/4 in x 2 3/8 in x 3/16 in thick

Im requesting the power of the forum to find a replacement.

Thank you

Have you tried Batteries Plus?

They have never failed to come through for me. The local store has opened some weird battery packs and replaced the internal cells.

How about from Angelcare.

BTW, you might want to read the reviews on the linked page. Seems to be a common problem.

A common 18650 battery would easily accommodate the voltage, current and charging specifications, but it’ll be too big in diameter to fit in a 3/16” space, unless there’s spare room available in the battery compartment where the rectangular battery was. You would still have to figure out how to connect it. The BatteriesPlus idea would be easier, but not sure you’ll save much money.

With shipping its closer to $28.

I was hoping for a cheapy $10 chinese replacement. Any more money and I would almost rather invest in a new unit

This could be a very easy project. 3.7V is a very common battery. I would take it apart, find the positive and negative leads in the case and splice then to a cheap portable phone battery. Less than $5 repair...

And quite frankly, any high school shop kid could do this so I’m flabbergasted that batteries plus could not come up with a solution.... don’t they specialize in battery cell rebuilds??
