Coincidentally this was in the Denver Post today: http://www.denverpost.com/2017...ark-county-wildfire/ Forest Service seeks recreational shooter as person of interest in Park County wildfire The fire began March 17 on Pike National Forest land in the Lost Park area By JESSE PAUL | jpaul@denverpost.com | The Denver Post March 27, 2017 at 3:58 pm Authorities are searching for a person of interest in a wildfire that burned 300 acres of Forest Service land southeast of Kenosha Pass in Park County. The U.S. Forest Service says investigators have determined the blaze was caused by recreational shooting and want to speak with a man seen in the area around when the fire began. He was in a silver, extended cab Chevrolet pickup truck with tinted rear windows and a brush guard. The fire began March 17 on Pike National Forest land in the Lost Park area. It burned about 308 acres before being fully contained on Friday. No arrests have been made in the case, which remains under investigation. I think we will be late this year up in Wickenburg, after a very wet winter. 3.5" of rain since December 1st, which is an unusually wet winter for us. Our local fire chief calls "no outside burning" usually about April 1st. Could be later this year. | |||
