It's not easy being me |
Late 60's & 70's middle TN. KICK which was made by Royal Crown Cola. The green bottle had a kicking mule on it, with the tagline: "KICK, like a Mule!" _______________________________________ Flammable, Inflammable, or Nonflammable....... Hell, either it Flams or it doesn't!! (George Carlin)

Anybody remember Delaware Punch? Some kind of fruit combination. My wife, who started her RN career in 1970 says it was used by older MDs to boost electrolyte levels in hospitalized patients. Used as a quick fix rather than iv fluid. Before the Gatorade era I guess.

Oh stewardess, I speak jive. |
Nehi and Fanta, mostly, some Shasta. Grape/Purple, Orange, and Strawberry/Red. Southern US, 70s kid. I would get Nehi Grape bottles out of the machine in the corner Gas Station's mechanic's bay on the way home from Elementary school. I also completely and irrevocably associate eating Fried Chicken with Fanta Strawberry/Red because we had Church's, mostly, and they've always had it. I had Church's last week, got a Fanta Red.

We drank any type sugary drink that complimented the great taste of Tom’s peanuts when added to the bottle. That combination was basic survival rations for free range country kids in East Texas.

Shasta and Fanta. Liked the grape and orange. Sometimes had the lemon-lime, but more often that was Sprite. I was on the border between Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Only fruit flavored soda that I remember in our house growing up occasionally was Tahitian Treat. Haven’t seen it in years. I know there were others out there, but never did care for most. Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view. Complacency sucks…
