Nope. He specifically said they were to be installed in his home.
Because all people tell the truth.
Ever seen a home with more than one or two living room sized TVs?
On top of that, you aren't supposed to lay flat screens down. They should be on their edges.
Yup. Buddy has a 115” Screen in the home theater.
6 - 43” TV in the Billoards room 2 on each wall
1 - 55” on the wall above the sink between the fridge and ice maker at the bar
4 - 43” on the 2 walls on either side of the bar
That is just the basement and does not include the first floor master and den nor does it include the upstairs where the kids bedrooms and video game room is.

I wonder if he's satisfied, yet.

1s1kThat’s definitely going in a home because a 43” tv is very small these days. Probably a couple upstairs and one in each bedroom. Then if you do a sports bar it could add up.
I have 5 downstairs alone and we rarely watch tv. I wanted everything to be mounted on the walls with no cords showing so when I built my house 3 years ago I made sure it was all wired in case a tv was wanted.
Downstairs I have one in the man cave which I use for music, one in a guest bedroom, one for home theater and two in the bar area which works perfect for super bowl parties or when we have had Kentucky derby parties. Good times.

I buy that same package every time I restock....better than buying four rolls every week or so....unless you really enjoy shopping for toilet paper.

Costco has the BEST toilet paper (not Scott though), it is the old width that's much wider than the stuff at the grocery stores that you need to use 2 fingers to wipe it's so narrow. It's the only reason I keep my Costco membership!
The other carts are probably his as well and I guarantee that stuff is all being exported to somewhere in Central America. I have several Central American customers that send me a big order 2-4 times a year with stuff they need for their yacht (my business) as well as a bunch of other household stuff they pay me to buy and bring to the freight forwarder as well to make a full container. Heck, when I lived in Belize, the yacht owner I worked for flew a King Air 90 to Cancun once a month to load it up with meat and groceries from the Costco there.

yes, I have. Watched the Super Bowl at a buddy’s place who had a 65 in living room, 55 on patio, and more than 100” screen in home theater. That’s just the 3 places I watched the game, but he had more.

For a current-day McCastle I can easily see it. In our little less-than-1400 sqft. ranch we'll probably end up with:
Current:
46" in the family room
22" in the computer room
18" in the front room
37" in the basement/bar (might get upgraded)
and a 43" planned for the man cave.
There's just the two of us
All fed from streaming devices, a networked OTA tuner and networked DVR. (Tho most of them also have directly-connected OTA antennas for fallback, as well.)

mark_aWe have 2 main locations where employees travel to each week. The people are different each week. It depends on who has a project coming up. That, plus quarterly team meetings and the divisional presidents bouncing around equaled a lot of hotel stays.
It quickly became apparent that it would be much more cost effective to buy houses near each of the 2 locations. Each house has a nice wide screen in each bedroom and a larger one in the main living space.
Even with weekly maid service (and one of the houses being in the Bay area in CA) we saved more $$ in one year to pay for each house. They are set up pretty nice with smokers, a nice grill etc. Anyone staying there can expense all their food and adult beverages they buy.
The guys like it because a lot of us like to cook and get tired of eating out.
One nice benefit is most of the people that use the houses are key players in the management structure. We quickly established a house rule that says everything said stays in the house. The CEO lives about 5 minutes away walking in the Bay area house. We get a lot accomplished after hours and the team is much tighter than before.
Not saying that was what the OP's guy was doing but it is a possibility.

ryan81986I have 5 TVs in my house. 19" 720p in the kitchen, 40" 720p in our spare bedroom/workout room. 50" 1080p in the bedroom, 55" 4k in the living room and a 40" 1080p in the finished basement.
Although I didn't buy them all at once. With the exception of the one in the basement all of the TVs were gradual upgrades. As I upgraded the TV in the living room the old one made it to different room of the house. The 19" was my original bedroom TV.
That being said the TCL 43" 4k TVs are 150-200 each so yeah 8 at once is a lot but money wise it's not really much different than one large 4k TV.
All in all he's got about $2700 in TV there, if not less with Costco pricing. As someone else said, he might be building a sports bar in his basement and plans on having a bunch of TVs.

BeanheadHe probably just finished his basement. The 55 for the upstairs living room. The big one is the main one down stair. He will probably mount 4 earring them. And then he would mount the rest behind the bar.

I'm pretty certain laying a TV down that big is a no-no. Probably has something to do with screen flex.
