xd45manWow. The Red Sox carried a 10 win streak into the All Star Break. They couldn't keep it going, losing the first game back to the Cubs. I hope they get another streak going.

That was nonsense. He wasn't swinging. The only thing he maybe interfered with was him
not going too far on the check swing and
maybe getting a strike called.

casThey've got his number. Over-anxious. He needs to take a step back, literally and figuratively.

Again, (besides being safe anyway) stupid rules. The batter was already out of the batters box while the pitcher was still in his wind up. So the catcher can't cause a problem for a batter who wasn't even in the batter's box when the pitch was thrown.
Under other circumstances the ump would call that a strike, despite him jumping out.
