So thinking of moving on from Direct TV. How is youtube or Fubo hooked up to your TV? We receive internet through (dsl) a phone jack to a home desk top. We also have a wireless router for a laptop and phones. Our direct tv is obviously connected to the dish via RG6 iirc. We have multiple receivers and they are all interconnect via RG6 iirc. If scrapping the direct TV system and going to youtube. Do i need TV jacks to all tvs to be connected to Ytt or Fubo And yes I do have a gmail acct. (free) would I need anything else? I like Fubo's lineup slightly better than YTT. Both about the same price. Thanks guys. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

YouTube TV is no different than YouTube. You will stream it through whatever you have for an internet connection. You will need some kind of streaming device or a smart TV. Anything that allows you to install the YouTube TV app on it will work fine. We use YouTube TV at my home through Apple TV, iPhones and computers. I believe you can have something like 9 devices streaming and 3 unique gmail accounts tied to it. JC

When we had YTTV, it was an app on our Samsung TV As long as the TV, or streaming device is connected to the internet & has the YTTV app, you should be good. The Enemy's gate is down.

Ok guys yes our tv does have apps (smart tv). I guess my question is about connecting the tv to the internet. Will it through the wireless router or do I need to connect the tv to our internet through a phone jack? With our current dircet TV we have never connected it to the internet. Wifi should be fine, as long as the signal is strong enough to not induce constant buffering My living room TV is hardwired to the network, but my patio TV did fine over wifi The Enemy's gate is down.

Thanks P250UA5, Yes, we checked and do have our wifi signal on the TV. Well fubo wants 79.99 ok. then when signing up the want another $14.99 at the cc stage. Well no. Youtube, no newsmax, Well no. Crapola. Figures. Such a scam. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Thank you Very little |
Be sure their latest apps will load on your TV, my 7 year old LG in the garage won't load DTV or Comcast company apps. Amazon and Spectrum are not compatible, you can't load the Spectrum App on a Firestick. Best bet is the latest ROKU box for Comcast, DTV etc. It also has some free broadcast channels over the internet.

I’ve used YT TV for a few years. All the streaming services have gotten too expensive, but YouTube’s service has always been good. For me, Hulu was the only other real option and they’re owned by Disney. I’m not too keen on giving them my money. As far as Newsmax goes, you’ll probably find that it’s a a service you’ll have to pay for on the side. I don’t recall any that included it. "Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway." 1) You are still on a DSL connection? What Speed does your wireless router show. On your laptop-run Speed test. 2) You need a certain download speed to be able to stream TV . DSL may not provide that. 3) Your internet provider may offer special promotions to stream TV.

NewsMax has its own streaming app just like YouTube TV and all the other streaming services. Go to your TV's menu to download app where you got YouTube TV and search for NewsMax. It looks like it's $4.99 a month or $50 a year. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. I would recommend either the amazon or apple ecosystem. I use Amazon Fire Sticks or Cubes, and others I know use Apple TV. Both work fine. I have downloaded a half dozen free streaming apps and they all work fine. But no live TV for free.

My advice? Go with YouTube TV Get a Roku stick for each of your TV's I see you mentioned you have a smart TV. Still get the Roku, trust me, it's 1,000 times better and easier to use than all these crappy, proprietary "smart" TV's out there YouTube TV runs on an app on the Roku We have a Roku TV and have been using YTTV for 2+ years now and really like it. It's nice to be able to fire up a show or a baseball game on the smartphone YTTV app while away from your home, like standing in line at an amusement park and the experience and interface is the same as if you were at your TV

I prefer you tube tv. My Samsung smart tv has the app and is connected to the internet wirelessly. My old tv has a Roku attached and is connected to the wireless internet. ----------------------------------------- Roll Tide! Glock Certified Armorer NRA Certified Firearms Instructor

FUBO for baseball and PRIME for football. YOUTUBE TV is not as friendly in my opinion to live sports. We use Verizon 5G box for the signal. I have no experience as to whether or not the wired signal can carry the bandwidth needed for streaming though. Too many SIGs .. ... Nah not really

I’ve been using YouTubeTV for about three years now, and have been pretty happy. While the interface isn’t my favorite, it’s usable, and the service has been rock solid. You can “DVR” as many programs as you want- I don’t think there is any limit. My TVs are Samsungs, and I’ve had no issue just using the “app” on the TV through WiFi. There is no need for a Roku or any external box. I love how clean the install is with no boxes or secondary remotes. Just power to your TV. The only question I see for you is whether or not your internet is fast enough. I suggest you connect your TV to your Wi-Fi, and download and use the YouTube app for free- not YoutubeTV, just the conventional YouTube. This will give you a pretty good idea of your video streaming ability. Or you can just download the YouTubeTV app and try it out. I’m sure you can cancel at any time.

I know we talked about some of your streaming options on the phone back when you were exploring getting a signal to your cabin. If you still have my number always feel free to give me a call.

ORC, I give $94/mo for FUBO. It's very good for sports, which is mainly why I enjoy it. I think they'll trial you a month to see if you like it. I seem to recall you had recently considered it, but they wanted an ancillary $14~. I don't recall that; perhaps that's an additional charge for local channels. I don't find the need... Wife likes to watch local news in the morning, she streams it from the local affiliate, no charge; otherwise she's mostly content with Netflix.
