Yeah, they are on sale for $3.99.

But I compared these to the nine y.o. version.

These are e thinner plastic, and much skimpier hinged.

For my storage purposes they will work.
But NOT for weekly range use by any means.

Too cheaply constructed.
You get what you pay for.

Be advised spend the extra $3.50 for better built boxes if you are relocating them on a regular basis.

If plastic .30 cal ammo cans are what you're wanting, MTM's plastic cans are $10 each shipped, made of heavy duty thick plastic, and are Made in the USA instead of China.

Or, if buying in bulk, you can get them for $9 each in a 5 pack with an additional free carrying/storage tray.

The Harbour Freight ones are really thin and junk for most things. I wouldn't put ammo in them. Picked one up a few years ago to put some electrical tester in and it cracked after a few months.

This is what I found at Costco’s site.

The Greenmade crates are not nearly as well-built as MTM's. That 4-pack is OK if you get it on sale for $20, but others are claiming MTM 5-packs are $20.

Those of you who have seen or purchased this MTM 5-pack, can you provide the rest of us w/ its Costco SKU number?

+++ MTM. Made in my old home town. MTM donated all the cases that our Evidence Techs used for their gear. That made me a customer for life.

The black ones are $10 more than the other colors? That's racist.

Palmetto had a deal on real cans maybe 4-5 years ago.
I got a dozen for maybe $70-$80 shipped.
Never thought I'd use 'em all up but it is not hard. Eek

That's the SKU for the Greenmade ones that Patrick-SP2022 linked above. What is the SKU for MTM ones, if in fact Costco carries them?

Found a better option at the Farm &Fleet store up in the big city.
A Stanley 16" toolbox $8.99.

Bigger handle better hinges, thicker plastic,
Larger capacity ( very close to double that of a .30 cal. Box)

https://www.farmandfleet.com/p...Gu7GMYBoCQPoQAvD_BwE

Will most likely watch for these on sale an get a couple more.
