I want a lock to put on the inside of a double, swing out, closet door. I was thinking of something like a sliding magnetically actuated bolt that would feed into the second door/attached “female” on the second door. The door is a double closet door where each door mates a small ball at the top to a small recess in the upper jam to create a friction hold. Does something like this exist? Doesn’t need to be a SECURE!!! type thing, just enough to keep prying eyes out of a closet if I so desire. (Cleaning person, guest etc.). Gotta hide my porn and heroin stash. Just kidding, just want to be able to throw some, junk and paperwork or whatever is needed in there. I am open to other options but don’t want a big ugly front facing hasp lock or some such. As always thank you. "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."

As a new grandpa, we’ve been child-proofing our home. Here are some Child magnetic locks on Amazon. Trouble is they are for 3/4 inch cabinet doors, but maybe you can inset the lock part into your closet door? _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

Not magnetic, but perhaps something like a desk drawer lock might work? There are also hasps/padlocks in sizes that don't look intimidating.

This: https://www.cabinetparts.com/p...locks-RV20200-p38107 I searched for "magnetic hidden slide lock". Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet. - Dave Barry "Never go through life saying 'I should have'..." - quote from the 9/11 Boatlift Story (thanks, sdy for posting it)
