Saw this on the news, they interviewed her and she said it was a very important song and she wanted to do it right. She was outstanding.

Also noticed that the players shown were all standing.

She nailed it! That song still brings a smile, especially when it is sung with heartfelt emotion.

She had a nice little Maria Carey thing going on there at the end when she took it up two octaves. Nice.

My thought too. A 7 year old can remember the words and sing the song without adding all sorts of stuff “to make their own.”

Put her on the short list for the Super Bowl. I’ll turn the TV off after she’s done.

She was great to hear. And so cute at the end.

Cheers!

Amazing job, but would've been even better IMO without the vocal growl.

Excellent rendition but the "free" part really grabs your attention. Wow!

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I beg to disagree. She was pitchy and diva-sung The Anthem. Call me a traditionalist, but I abhor hearing TS&S in a Whitney Houston fashion.
