Second set of Metzler 880's here. They have served me very well in all road conditions for thousands of miles. I'm very pleased with the durability/price. The obvious trade offs are a sticky tire that doesn't last many miles versus a hard tire that may not grip as well but will log a lot of miles. The Metzlers are a great compromise to me. Truckin' On |
Dunlop Elite 3's are excellent and what I have preferred for the last several years. They have been discontinued for the new version of American Elite's which I will try next time around. I love the Metzeler 880 but will not use them on rears any more. They feel great, handle and perform great but when they're near the end, all of a sudden they start to disappear very quickly. You think they have some life left and then they just don't. ____________ Μολὼν Λαβέ 01 03 04 14 16 18

Thank you Very little |
I run the american elite dunlops, much less $$$ than the HD Branded Dunlops. The Dunlop American Elites are dual compound tires, the center is harder for the longer distance riding, touring, highway, freeway, the sides are a softer compound for better cornering traction. They work well..
