I saw Hank jr 3 weeks ago and it was a wild show. He changes up the lyrics a bit. Now he says “most of his friends have been called home”.

I still manage to get a little wild once in a while. When my band plays somewhere and the drinks are flowing it’s just like the good old days. Partaaay til dawn. Then go to bed and wake up in bad shape. Just like the good old days. Two weeks ago we locked the bar up and played til about 4. I knocked off a half a fifth of Crown Royal, some gin, and scotch. Yeeehaaa! My wife just shook her head... just like my mother used to do. Non of the old gang is around any more, except one guy in Loozeeanna.

My wild, woolly, glory days are long past. I haven't even told Mrs DF most of it. Occasionally something will happen or I'll smell something that will bring those days center stage for a few moments. Those days make me smile to myself and I thank the Lord above that there was no internet and video recording back then. I can at least pretend dignity at this stage of life. Big Grin

On the whole, I never was particularly wild, but did go through a few "phases" in my twenties. Dang, that's a long time ago. As it is now, I am tipsy after my 3 beer limit, and it is literally decades since I was drunk.
